De Leon named head of Omnicom Media Philippines

MANILA - Hermie de Leon (pictured), the head of PHD Manila, has been promoted to run Omnicom Media Group Philippines.

De Leon will now oversee both PHD and Omnicom sister media agency OMD as president and chief executive of the OMG. The role of Ador Perez, the chief operating officer of OMD Philippines will be unaffected.

Lawrence Tan, the GM of PHD Manila, will now take on a more hands-on role in the running of the agency. "The Omnicom Media Group offer exists in Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines," said Jim Goh, regional managing director of Omnicom Media Group. "Yes, on occasion this could mean OMD and PHD pitching together. But just as often they will pitch against one another."

Meanwhile, Rowie M Nardo has been promoted to finance director of OMG Philippines following the resignation of Raymond I Nano.
