Offices in Thailand and Vietnam will begin operating before the end of 2009 and the new offices will be established either through joint ventures or wholly owned GO Communications agencies.
Peter de Kretser said that despite the economic downturn, the agency has seen significant increase in revenues in the first six-months of this year. According to him, the revenue for 2009 has jumped by over 50 percent on the back of series of new business wins.
The agency’s new client wins in the last two months include Asia 21 Society, Contact the Players (a UK-based sports marketing company) and IT company Gemalto, among others.
He added, “It’s the best six months we have had since GO Communications began three years ago. We expect revenue and profit to grow further in the next six months with more new clients in the pipeline after major pitches.”
Michael de Kretser hit the headlines last year after he lost a lawsuit brought against him by MDK, now owned by WPP.
