DDB relinquishes MTR business

HONG KONG - Long-term incumbent DDB has confirmed that it will not participate in the MTR Corporation's ongoing review of its US$17 million advertising account, after the company tendered the business last week.

Tribal DDB will still retain some project work for the MTR. MTR’s total adspend in 2007 amounted to HK$135 million (US$17.3 million).

DDB regained the MTR account in early 2001, just 12 months after losing it to FCB.
