Mowday will be responsible for managing the agency’s business performance and maintaining client relationships. In his position, effective in the second half of the year, he will report to DDB Group’s CEO, Sandy Moore.

According to Moore, DDB was prompted to hire Mowday to accommodate the agency’s growing business, adding that 2009 was their most successful year. “This new role is an investment in our future,” Moore said. “Today we have many more staff than we did five years ago, and our business has grown dramatically in the last three years.”

Mowday was previously the MD of DraftFCB Auckland where he had been for five years. He has additionally worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, where he began his career in 1995, and at The Ingram Partnership in London.
