DDB named global Reebok AOR

GLOBAL - Reebok's on-again, off-again relationships with McGarryBowen and DDB need another status update, as the shoe brand has named DDB its global agency of record a year after choosing McGarryBowen over DDB.

The change effects work that will appear starting in 2014. The account will be led by DDB New York, and the remit includes digital, social and advertising campaigns. Media will continue to be handled by Carat.

DDB held the account from 2009 until last year when the brand chose McGarryBowen.

“Our partnership with Reebok started in 2009 and we’re thrilled to work together again,” said Amir Kassaei, chief creative officer of DDB Worldwide. “We have an opportunity to redefine the fitness category and we’re ready to create conversations that move the brand forward.”

"Amir and his team understand the mission of the Reebok brand," said Yan Martin, head of global brand marketing for Reebok. "We look forward to collaborating with DDB to deliver our unique territory, powerful message and focused dedication to fitness to consumers around the world.”
