DDB Melbourne extends business with Telstra and McDonald's

MELBOURNE - DDB Melbourne has won three recent pitches, extending the agency's relationship with Telstra and McDonald's.

DDB will be overseeing creative, digital and direct marketing for the re-launch of Telstra-subsidiary Sensis’ White Pages, following a contested pitch. Though the brand has had a few quiet years, the account will include TVC, out-of-home, online and possibly sponsorships.

The Telstra Business Awards account, which includes both ‘Telstra businessman of the year’ as well as the ‘Telstra businesswoman of the year’ awards is also an Australia-wide account, as well as the only sponsored event solely owned and controlled by telco giant Telstra.

Mango, the PR arm of DDB Melbourne Group, has won the PR business for McDonald’s in Victoria and Tasmania in a five-way pitch, making it responsible for all of the brand’s PR activities in both states. This includes co-ordinating with national initiatives.

The total expected billings for all three accounts are A$15million (US$13 million).
