BKSH Associates and Quinn & Gillespie, both of which are also owned by Genesis B-M parent WPP, are considered two of the leading bipartisan firms in the US capital, advising a range of clients on public affairs, government relations, and advocacy.
Genesis B-M CEO Ashwani Singla (pictured) pointed out that the deals would prove beneficial in two ways. “Indian companies that are starting to look for business in the US have to go through Washington,” he said.
“Also at the end of the day, you need to bring in a level of expertise into Indian public affairs firms, which have been old-fashioned lobbying firms in the past, rather than the transparent firms they should be.”
The deals come after Genesis B-M launched its public affairs practice last year and, said Singla, will constitute the formal launch of its “global public affairs offering” next month.
