DBS Bank tipped to shift to Ogilvy team

SINGAPORE DBS Bank is reportedly aligning its creative business under an Ogilvy Group offering named Team DBS.

SINGAPORE DBS Bank is reportedly aligning its creative business under an Ogilvy Group offering named Team DBS.

In recent years, much of the DBS business has been held by Ogilvy sister brand David Communications, which counts the bank as an anchor client. Team DBS reportedly consists of creative, account and planning personnel drawn from across the Ogilvy Group, including David.

With David executive creative director Andrew Lok set to depart the agency, it remains unclear whether creative leadership on the account will revert back to Ogilvy regional head of copy Eugene Cheong.

Lok, meanwhile, is expected to return to Greater China, less than a year after leaving Ogilvy Guangzhou for David.

Ogilvy Singapore chairman Stephen Mangham declined to comment on the situation, while DBS representatives could not be reached at press time.
