Davis takes over Star China role as Smith leaves

<p>HONG KONG: Laurie Smith has resigned as executive vice-president of </p><p>Star China, less than a year after his appointment. Smith, who also </p><p>stepped down as chief operating officer of News Corp China, said he was </p><p>leaving for personal reasons. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>His role will be filled by Jamie Davis who has been promoted from senior </p><p>vice-president of Star Entertainment to president of Star China with </p><p>immediate effect. His role will be filled by Jamie Davis who has been promoted from senior
