Damac hires Universal McCann for media business

KUALA LUMPUR - Damac, one of the Middle East's largest private property developers, has handed its Singapore and Malaysia media business to Universal McCann Malaysia.

The account was handed to the media agency after a credentials presentation and according to a source the agency has been tasked to develop integrated communications planning, buying and execution for the company.

Damac is in the process of developing new commercial and residential projects worth RM3.8 billion at Malaysia’s Puteri Harbour in Nusajaya, which is one of the largest integrated urban developments in Southeast Asia. In June this year the company also entered into a sales and purchase agreement worth AED 448 million (US$121 million) with UEM Land, the master developer of Nusajaya.

Damac properties is worth US $ 45 billion and has properties spread across 18 countries.
