In January, DaimlerChrysler had Lowe pitch against Batey for a project to create an ad campaign leveraging Mercedes-Benz's Formula One sponsorship.
It is understood Lowe won the pitch and several other projects - mostly Mercedes product vehicle ads.
But Lowe's stint proved short-lived, with Sharon Lee, DaimlerChrysler Southeast Asia head of strategic marketing, opting for BBH, which will be launching a regional ad campaign in the new year as part of ongoing efforts to revitalise the brand.
"Lee approached us, there was no formal pitch, said Chris Harris, BBH Asia-Pacific CEO.
Because BBH has a policy of steering clear of creative pitches, it showed Lee creative work for its other clients and focused on discussing strategies.
