D&AD chief executive steps down

LONDON - D&AD chief executive Michael Hockney has announced he is stepping down after four years in the role.

Hockney, who has seen the organisation double its membership base during his tenure, plans to take a “mini-sabbatical” before taking on a new role. “I’ve never had (a break) in all the 35 years I’ve been working. My wife and I will concentrate on renovating our house,” he said in a statement.

D&AD chairman Anthony Simonds-Gooding will oversee the management team in the interim.
