CSL turns HK bus stops into mobile video showcase

CSL?s mobile phone brand One2Free has launched a new multimedia infotainment service, and is using public bus shelters to promote its latest offer.

One2Free claims the Video World service provides video quality comparable to that of 3G technology. The service is priced at HK$50 per month for access to 500 video clips. The telco has teamed up with Texon Media to place LCD monitors in the shape of a mobile phone screen at the outdoor vendor?s network of bus shelters to demonstrate the service offer. The monitors run videos of news and entertainment provided by cable TV operator, i-Cable to highlight Video World?s package, which comprises video clips of news, entertainment, movie previews, finance, traffic and weather. The screens have been set up in the popular shopping areas of Tsim Sha Tsui and Mongkok, as One2Free is targeting a young, trendy and affluent adult demographic. CSL believes the outdoor initiative is well-placed to reach CSL?s youth target. The Video World launch comes only a month after the mobile provider rolled out its ?Club best? reward programme for the 1010 brand. Leo Burnett developed the creative for the campaign and Maxus handled media buying.
