CSL in tie-up with Nokia for first AP video-share deal

Telecom company CSL has rolled out a television-led campaign for the launch of Asia's first video sharing service.

The mobile operator tied up with Nokia to introduce video sharing, which allows users to view live or pre-recorded video during a normal voice call on mobile phones. Michelle Au, GM, marketing communications and PR at CSL, said: "Two TVCs depict business and lifestyle use. They show the simple ways that the technology can help people communicate. The objective was to illustrate how the technology works." One spot, developed by Leo Burnett, shows how a woman is able to fix a TV set by showing her husband the tangle of wires on the back of the set. "The market for 3G is not there yet, but it is starting to take off now, which is why CSL will heavily market 3G later this year. The choice of handsets is getting better and so we expect greater demand in the service," added Au. OMD handled media for the campaign, which will run across TV, print and outdoor.
