How did you get into advertising?
By doing the ads for my school's cultural festival in high school.
What was your first ever ad?
A pseudo horserace experience ad. We posted the cards of the 18 horses due to take part in Japan's biggest horserace on 18 pillars in a terminal station and had punters pick a card for their favourite, giving them the experience of taking part in the race.

What was your worst job ever?
Inspecting 1 million items of merchandise against the order.
What qualities do you look for in a prospective employee?
Ability to think out of the box, gumption to turn ideas into reality and human warmth to draw in others.
What does it take to impress you?
Saying, "I love it!"
Where do you go to be inspired?
I'd like to say a Finnish forest, but in reality it is my own bed (sleeping).
Who do you consider to be a creative genius? Why?
Alex Bogusky. He's playing with ads, but they're elaborate. They are both creative and down-to-earth.
If you were not working in advertising, where would you work?
I'd like to work at Disney or Pixar.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Watching Sex and the City before bedtime.
What would you like to be in a next life?
To be born in another country and travel to Tokyo.

You've got to say it to make it happen.
What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
Have a bath.

A super straight perm.
