How did you get into advertising?
Total blind luck. I tried getting into the design group in LB and was told I was crap so I grabbed an opening for visualiser through blatantly lying about my drawing abilities. Then I stuck around the creative department and took an open brief and the rest they say is.. history.
What was your first ever ad?
The open brief was for United Airlines launching the Boeing 777.
Which ad do you wish you’d made?
The Independent TV commercial. Nothing tops a newspaper telling you not to read it.
What was your worst job ever?
Every job where I was purely doing it only for the money.
What qualities do you look for in a prospective employee?
Someone that isn't doing it for the money.
What does it take to impress you?
1. Raw bravery.
2. An unending curiosity for anything new.
3. An encyclopedic knowledge of movie quotes greater than mine.
Where do you go to be inspired?
I walk around and talk to the many talented people in my agency about anything. I usually come back to my desk inspired.
Who do you consider to be a creative genius? Why?
Michel Gondry and David Fincher because they are both story tellers that never try to do the same thing over and over again. Both have kicked off imaginations that hopefully will lead to the next generation of story tellers.
If you were not working in advertising, where would you work?
Being a leader of a cult or a porn star. Both of which leverages my experiences in advertising to it's fullest.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Answering badly prepared questions with extremely tricky answers and watching them squirm.
What would you like to be in a next life?
You mean i gotta go through all this again?!? Roflmao.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
The first thought in my head is usually: oh man, here we go again ...
Worst haircut you’ve ever had?
I grew up in the eighties so grab any Duran Duran album and take your pick...
