Creative duo rise in JWT overhaul of leadership in Asia
<p>HONG KONG: J. Walter Thompson has reorganised its regional </p><p>management team in a drive to bolster the network's creative firepower </p><p>in Asia. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>It has created two senior creative positions: Northeast Asia creative </p><p>director, filled by JWT Shanghai creative director Lo Sheung Yan, and </p><p>Southeast Asia creative director, taken up by the agency's Singapore </p><p>head of creative Norman Tan. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Kevin Ramsey, who has also been promoted to president JWT Asia-Pacific </p><p>from chief operating officer, said: "We've taken two top creative </p><p>leaders and given them the mandate to drive the work forward. We also </p><p>want local creative talent to start coming through and this elevation is </p><p>a reflection of that." </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Lo will be responsible for China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea, while Tan </p><p>will oversee Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia </p><p>and Vietnam. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Miles Colebrook also moves up to chairman of JWT Asia-Pacific, while </p><p>retaining his role as the group's international president. In other </p><p>promotions, Tom Doctoroff, JWT China chief executive, has been appointed </p><p>Northeast Asia area director, while Mark Webster will move to Bangkok as </p><p>regional director for Southeast Asia, a position formally held by Marc </p><p>Capra, who will be relocating to America to join the network's US </p><p>operations. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
