Swire Properties has launched good2me, a series of online value

added services and loyalty initiatives that aim to brand Hong Kong

shopping centres managed by the company.

Registered members will initially have access to online product

reservations, gift reminders via email, gift box purchases at the mall,

as well as a 24-hour customer service hotline.

A virtual shopping connoisseur, Michelle, will provide live chat

services in mid-2001.

According to Swire Properties, good2me establishes a loyalty platform

for three malls - Pacific Place, Festival Walk and Cityplaza.

A wireless strategy with Hutchison Telecom and PCCW Mobility Service

will send promotional messages via selected WAP-enabled phones, while

interactive kiosks will be installed in malls to act as intelligent

concierge terminals.

Good2me will launch a full scale membership drive in the second quarter

of this year, with roadshows held at malls to introduce the service to

shoppers.

Good2me senior manager, Sandy Fok, said: "This initiative is not about

virtual retailing. This is a test bed for us to really gauge how

customers want to be empowered by modern technology in the world of

shopping."
