In the wake of a glittering three-year career putting Hong Kong in
the real know about the Internet revolution, Ms Ruth Stubbs is leaving
Euro RSCG Hong Kong for a career in the United States.
Having spent five years with the agency, the last three in the SAR, she
relocates to San Francisco to assume the role of Media Contacts
director.
She was most-recently Euro's interactive media director.
Remaining within the Euro framework - Media Contacts being a division of
the Media Planning Group and one of the newer acquisitions of Euro
parent, the Havas Group - Ms Stubbs kicks off her latest tenure on July
1.
"With the West Coast booming with dotcom businesses, I will have my work
cut out for me - (though) I still remain part of the Euro RSCG Network,"
she told CReATION.
Ms Stubbs - one of the pioneers of the new era of interactive media,
successfully making the transition from a traditional media background -
was named Media Person of the Year at MEDIA's 1999 Agency of the Year
Awards.
Taking the mantle from Ms Stubbs is ex-Zenith Media staffer Candida
Ness.
She joins off the back of a 12-year career in media, most recently as
Coca-Cola group director.
Starting her post at Euro in May, Ms Ness' brief focuses on Web media
and sees her working alongside media director Jessica Ho on the Intel
account.
