Following a four-year tenure at the helm of Grey Interactive in

Hong Kong, Ms Vivian Lau is taking her creative talents to mobile

telecoms giant SmarTone Telecommunications.

Ms Lau, widely regarded as one of the industry's most knowledgeable

experts, has been appointed director of SmarTone's broadband

division.

During her tenure as general manager at Grey Interactive, the digital

and new media specialist operation mimicked Asia's (and Ms Lau's own)

rocket to notoriety in the Internet revolution.

Within her new role, Ms Lau's brief includes spearheading the broadband

division's management and business development, helping "synergise the

broadband initiatives with the Group's wireless capability, resources

and development" according to SmarTone CEO Ian Stone.

Succeeding her at Grey Interactive will be ex-IBM staffer Karen Jim, who

comes on board following an extensive career with IBM, most recently as

e-business marketing manager with IBM Greater China.
