Internet services company Lemon has appointed Neil Runcieman its
new chief executive officer.
He takes over from company founder David Mok, who stays on as Lemon's
chairman.
Mr Runcieman's appointment comes five months after Lemon received
USdollars 10 million of additional capital to fund a broadening of its
service portfolio and the development of a pan-Asian presence.
"Neil Runcieman has been given the task of driving Lemon Asia's next
phase of development," said Mr Mok. "After more than five years of
steering the company to this point, I'm ready to let someone else do the
driving so I can put more focus on creative and strategic work.
"I think we're very fortunate to have found someone of Neil's
versatility and diverse talents to do the job of taking the company to
the next level while still maintaining the company's impressive track
record of identifying and implementing Internet solutions."
With over 20 years experience in management and communications, Mr
Runcieman has a solid record in growing regional businesses in Asia.
"He comes to Lemon with a comprehensive skill-set that encompasses
general management, strategic communications and marketing in
multicultural corporate environments, as well as successful
entrepreneurial experience."
Previously, he worked for the Jardine Schindler Group as group
communications and marketing director for almost two years and as deputy
managing director of Schindler Lifts (Hong Kong) for a further two
years.
Before coming to Asia, Mr Runcieman spent eight years in Europe, where
he held corporate communication positions with the European Satellite
Telecommunications Organisation and the Schindler Group.
