CP consolidates media task with Brand, Initiative

BANGKOK: The publicly-traded CP Group has consolidated its 1.1 billion baht (US$27 million) media account with Bangkok-based Initiative Media and Brand Connections.

The move aims to increase media planning efficiencies and create a strong trademark and brand for the group, according to Supachai Chearavanont, president and CEO of Telecom Asia, and chairman of the CP Group's Media Synergies working committee. Initiative Media will service telecom company TA Orange, Charoen Pokphand Foods and other associated companies within the Pokphand group, Supachai said.

Brand Connections will, meanwhile, handle cable TV provider UBC, 7-Eleven, CP Interfood, CP Meiji, Global Kitchen, TelecomAsia and its associate companies, as well as other companies within the Pokphand group.
