China Unicom has signed up as title sponsor, together with P&G, L’Oreal Paris and home-grown Chinese fashion brand Jenfen as co-sponsors.
Contestants, who will be selected from both Greater China and international fashion schools, will compete in a series of knockout rounds.
Shirley Zhang Xiao-dong, GM and associate publisher of Trends Publishing, said: “We will work with the production team who were behind the popular dark comedy TV programmes Crazy Stone and Crazy Race, which ran in March in China. We are confident ‘Creative China’ will be profitable and attractive.”
The works of the winning contestants will be featured in Cosmopolitan and Esquire magazines. Winners will also have the chance to showcase their works at London Fashion Week in September 2010.
