Coren new MD at Burnett Thailand

Damian Coren has been named managing director of Leo Burnett Thailand, replacing Phil McDonald, who became MD of Burnett Singapore in December.

Coren will report directly to Burnett Thailand CEO On-Usa Lamliengpol. He was previously group business director at Y&R in Australia, heading the agency's Cadbury-Schweppes business. He also spent six years with FCB in senior management positions in New York and Hong Kong, working on accounts such as Kraft, General Motors, Sunkist and Samsung. Coren said the past two years had been a time of consolidation. "Leo Burnett Thailand is a great agency with a great reputation. It has probably been a little off the boil over the last two years," he said. "This year is all about being very active in new business and lifting our creative profile. We have a fair representation of MNC clients, but for us to get scale, it's going to be about getting some of the bigger local clients."
