Alan Fairnington, CEO of Batey, said: “Rob is heading off to the US over Chinese New Year and will work from there for the time being. We look forward to his speedy return and hope that there is a happy outcome for him and his family.”
Gaxiola joined Batey from BatesAsia in October last year, following the loss of the global Nokia business.
He replaced the then ECD Ng Tian It, who move to Shanghai to spearhead Lowe Greater China’s creative offering.
Fairnington added: “Andrew has continued to grow as a strong conceptualiser and respected creative leader, and has the ability and commitment to play a key role in Batey’s future. Jury has proven his skills as both a creator of outstanding work, and as a mature manager who can orchestrate the flow of creative work through the agency.”
