Converse slates Taiwan relaunch for third quarter

TAIPEI: US sports brand Converse will be relaunched in Taiwan targeting the 13 to 25-year age segment.

Grey Worldwide Taiwan and its media agency MediaCom have been appointed by local manufacturer and distributor S Fashion to relaunch Converse in the current quarter.

An integrated campaign, including above-the-line, outdoor and interactive, is planned for the relaunch of Converse's line of shoes, sports wear and accessories.

"We are now considering celebrities to promote Converse as celebrities can communicate easily with teens, said Davy You, Grey's vice-president, business development.

Along with Converse, S Fashion also manufactures local shoe brands Miss Sofi and men's line Pier 39. MediaCom will also serve as agency of record for the local brands.
