CONNECTIONS: Kids channel in broadband link-up with now.com

HONG KONG: Kids TV channel Nickelodeon has linked up with telecoms firm PCCW to make the channel available to 100,000 www.now.com.hk subscribers.

The deal is the channel's first broadband link-up and will provide Hong Kong viewers access to MTV Networks' Nickelodeon Asia.

Richard Cunningham, senior vice-president, content development, said: "The agreement with PCCW is a milestone in Nickelodeon's distribution development in the region as it's the first-ever broadband deal we have signed in Asia, and it also marks the first time that Nickelodeon is available in Hong Kong."

PCCW's vice-president, content development, Grace Lo, added that users could watch animation, children-friendly game shows and dramas through high-quality streaming.
