CONNECTIONS: Fortune unveils net-based Valet advertiser offer

HONG KONG: Business magazine Fortune has launched Fortune Valet, allowing key advertisers to extend special offers to readers in Asia and Europe.

Stan Stalnaker, Fortune's marketing director, said the service - at www.fortune-valet.com - was in line with the title's integration with AOL TimeWarner.

"The programme is running across Asia and Europe and is available in custom solution packages for advertisers who wish to deepen their advertising campaign. It also includes opt-in email functions to allow readers to sign up for special offers and other information from our partners.

"We wanted to build a service that would be helpful to our advertisers in the region. It tells our readers about special offers and is similar to a service card, said Stalnaker.

However, the service is only available as a larger package to key advertisers, which include Intel and Raffles International. Interactive agency Spike handled strategic planning and execution for Fortune's email newsletter applications, which allow staff to send daily e-newsletters, and monitor its microsite.

Spike's account and channel manager, Catherine Shak, said: "This is a neatly designed site with no fancy graphics. It's to the point and there is emphasis on the information architecture."
