Companies opt for e-greetings over print cards

A large number of companies in Asia turned to electronic greeting cards as an inexpensive alternative to printed cards sent through the mail during Christmas.

Expertweb estimated that an average local company saved up to HK$10,000 by using e-mail, compared with the cost of buying cards and postage for traditional cards, including staff time wasted signing and mailing cards.

"Invest Hong Kong decided to send e-cards instead of printed cards this year,

said Vanessa Tang, corporate services manager, Invest Hong Kong.

"It is an efficient way of sending greetings. And in the current economic climate, it helps to save productive time and money."
