Coke gets into fashion game

Coca-Cola has selected the upcoming Fashion TV Beach Awards in Singapore for the launch of two new product lines aimed at a 'beautiful' audience.

F&N Coca-Cola Singapore confirmed that the September 24 event at Sentosa's Siloso Beach would see the debut of a new line of apparel, based on Coke-inspired artwork by Andy Warhol, along with the rollout of the Club bottle, developed by UK design team The Designers Republic.

The aluminium contour bottle will feature different packaging designs, each available for a limited time and sold exclusively at clubs and nightspots. Clubbers can add whisky to the bottle to create the 'Coca-Cola Urban Mix' and drink it straight from the bottle.

"It will be the new accessory de jour for the young urban Singaporean," said F&N spokesperson June Kong, adding that the bottle would be available from October. Similarly, the clothing collection will be on sale in 'Limited Edition Stores' from the same date. Exclusive customised pieces from the collection, featuring Swarovski crystals embossed on the apparel, will be auctioned off at the awards event.

Both campaigns will be supported by mobile content downloads, viral marketing and PR. The Awards marks the first of three such events in Southeast Asia, with Thailand and Malaysia also hosting their own shows in November.
