Coke awards Ogilvy digital duties

SYDNEY - Coca-Cola Australia has extended its relationship with Ogilvy by awarding the agency the digital duties for several of its beverage brands following a competitive pitch that began in January.

Singleton Ogilvy & Mather has been named the lead digital agency for Coca-Cola beverages including Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta and Sprite in both the Australian and New Zealand markets. According to Ogilvy, the agency won the account over five competitors.

Local reports add that Ogilvy will share some of its digital duties with the account’s incumbent The White Agency, although Ogilvy could not confirm The White Agency’s role.

In January, Ogilvy & Mather was awarded the creative business of POWERade and bottled water brand Mount Franklin for Coca-Cola in Australia and New Zealand. The win ousted incumbent Publicis Mojo for both accounts, which it had held for more than three years.

At the time, Ogilvy Australia also managed the creative accounts for Coke Red, Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Fanta and Sprite.
