Most recently serving as president of GCI West in Los Angeles, Drake has worked within WPP companies for over 15 years, helping lead initiatives for global clients including Dell, Pioneer Electronics, Starbucks and Shell.
Based in Shanghai, he will report to Donna Imperato, chief executive officer of Cohn & Wolfe.
“The China market is so big and crowded that it demands big ideas, and with digital starting to dominate the communications landscape here, we have invested heavily in developing digital and social media strategies that focus on ideas that connect clients to the people who matter to them,” Drake said.
Cohn & Wolfe recently merged with GCI Group. The company’s China operation has a B2B client portfolio including Ford, Kellogg, Rolex and Hilton Hotels.
