Coca-Cola's Wong to return to Singapore

Sydney - Coca-Cola South Pacific marketing director Karen Wong will return to Singapore at the end of the year, potentially taking on a new role within the Coca-Cola Company.

Wong, previously marketing manager of Coca-Cola Asia based in Hong Kong, transferred to Sydney in 2005 to oversee Australia and New Zealand. During her tenure in Australia, Wong spearheaded the region’s most successful product launch of Coke Zero. At 34, Wong is one of the youngest regional marketers in the company. Meanwhile Coca-Cola is believed to be looking within its global network for her successor, which is expected to be announced in November.

Wong could not be reached for comment at press time.
