Coca-Cola shortlists two for Coke Zero, awards Sprite duties

JAKARTA - Coca-Cola has shortlisted two agencies for the activation business of Coke Zero brand in Indonesia after a four-way pitch. The shortlisted agencies include Momentum and incumbent Oze.

Reports suggest that Coca-Cola Indonesia is on the lookout for a brand activation agency to develop a campaign for Coke Zero’s product sampling in 2009.

Last month Coca-Cola, which had called a pitch for the Sprite brand, split its brand activation account between Lowe and Oze. Sources suggest that Lowe will be handling the website component while Oze will handle the internal launch and sampling.

Coke Zero is Coca-Cola's biggest product launch in 22 years. It is primarily targeted towards young males. Though the brand’s launch started off in 2006, it was only launched in Indonesia last February. In 2008, Coke Zero also took part in an advertising campaign tied to the 22nd James Bond movie, Quantum Of Solace.
