CNBC inks mobile deals

SINGAPORE - CNBC Asia Pacific has struck content deals with telecom operators in Singapore, Indonesia and Cambodia to extend its reach among mobile phone users in Southeast Asia.

Singapore’s M1, Telkomsel in Indonesia and Mobitel in Cambodia will carry live streaming of CNBC content. Telkomsel and Mobitel will also offer video-on-demand news clips – a service already available via SingTel in Singapore.

CNBC claims to be the first regional news channel to be distributed on Telkomsel or Mobitel.
