Clea celebrates decade with TVC to dispel gossip

Clea PR has released a series of television commercials to commemorate its 10th birthday - and to dispel market rumours of its decline.

"The objective is not only to celebrate 10 years, but also to convey that we are recruiting staff as well as potential clients, and for the feelgood factor," said Clea PR managing director Vinod Nair. "We are very much alive and kicking." The 10-day campaign has been initially released only on CNBC TV18. "We might consider other channels like NDTV and Aaj Tak (Hindi news channel) for the second phase," added Nair, who said the spots were created in-house by the firm. The 15-second TVC, which uses only text and audio in the background, says: 'For 10 years, they have been saying Clea is closing down, Clea is losing clients, Clea is dead. Clea PR celebrates 10 years of life and death. Jobs at CleaPR.com.' Another execution says: 'Kids don't know a thing about sex. Elvis is still alive...Clea is dead. How long will you believe anything?' "We felt that the visual medium would have a greater impact and create the buzz that we needed desperately," said Nair, adding that an email campaign was also in the works.
