Clarke headlines senior reshuffles at MediaCom A-P

WPP has confirmed Kevin Clarke, former MindShare Thailand CEO, as regional head for MediaCom, replacing Duane Bruner, who now becomes director of buying and optimisation.

Clarke will report to both John Steedman, regional CEO for Group M, and Alexander Schmidt-Vogel, CEO of MediaCom Worldwide. Meanwhile, Adrian King remains director of research, while David Crossley and Nihar Das are now directors of strategic planning. The appointments follow a reshuffle of senior media management for WPP in Asia to group-wide positions reported in Media last month, thought to be a prelude to a push for greater growth from the holding company's smaller media regional networks, including MediaCom as well as Maxus and MEC. MediaCom is currently seeking to dramatically extend its Asian foothold with a bid for Nokia's Asia-Pacific business, one of the largest media reviews of the year.
