Clark to take up CEO position at MindShare in Britain

ASIA-PACIFIC: Kelly Clark - the MindShare Asia-Pacific chief executive officer for the past three years who helped launch the agency in 1997 - has been appointed to lead the network's UK operations as CEO.

John Steedman remains as chairman of Asia-Pacific, with South Asia CEO, Andre Nair, North Asia CEO, Mark Patterson, and Southeast Asia CEO, Nick Waters, reporting directly to him.

MindShare Worldwide chief operating officer, Dominic Proctor, said: "The fact we have an outstanding management in Asia-Pacific means we are able to alter the structure with total confidence."

Clark added: "Our company has grown so fast and so big in such a short time since we launched in the region five years ago, that broader management strength was something we have been planning.

"The agency in the region will continue to perform strongly because we have strong management teams, both at the regional level and within local markets."

He also said: "It is a fantastic opportunity to work in a new market, especially a defining market such as the UK. It's an irresistible attraction."

Clark, who will take up his new role in the autumn, replaces Simon Rees, who has chosen to leave the company to pursue other opportunities.
