Citibank shifts global creative to Publicis/Fallon

Citibank is to shift its Asia-Pacific creative business out of Y&R to a global Publicis-Fallon arrangement, that will see Fallon lead creative with Publicis assisting on global networking duties.

The news follows a senior management reshuffle at Citibank New York, which has been looking to move its global creative from Y&R to US incumbent Fallon for several years now. Whilst the transition has occurred in most regions, Y&R has retained its grip on the Asian component, excluding Japan. Wunderman, meanwhile, will remain Citibank's global below-the-line agency, after retaining the business following a global review.

"As planned for the last three years, Y&R has been migrating the business over and we are doing everything possible to help this transition," said Y&R regional chairman and CEO Chris Jaques (pictured), who declined to comment on the Publicis/Fallon arrangement.
