CIMB picks Ogilvy for Indonesia launch

JAKARTA - The CIMB Group has selected Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia to handle launch advertising for its CIMB Niaga bank operations later in the year.

The Malaysian banking group has a majority stake in Bank Niaga, the second-largest provider in the home loans market. The group only received approval from its shareholders to change its name to CIMB Niaga in May.
 
“The change is part of an ongoing transformation to enhance Bank Niaga’s value proposition and further reflect the synergies from being part of CIMB Group,” said Hashemi Albakri, president director of Bank Niaga.
 
Ogilvy also handles creative for CIMB in Malaysia, its home market.
