China powers 2014 industry M&A activity: R3
In Asia Pacific, the top five investors–and nine of the top 10 investors–were all Chinese companies looking to expand on the mainland, according to R3's 2014 M&A Report. For 2015, the trend is set to increase, with more and more local firms looking to drive business expansion. Globally, Publicis Groupe led the way with its massive investment in Sapient. WPP had twice as many acquisitions (almost one per week) but it was the size of Publicis Groupe’s largest ones that made the difference.
