China Mobile reviews emerging markets strategy

BEIJING - China's leading mobile brand China Mobile is actively seeking creative and media partners for its emerging markets business, which is expected to include an initial focus on Pakistan.

Agencies believed to be involved are McCann Erickson, Ogilvy & Mather and Grey, although none of the agencies contacted by Media responded to requests for comment. China Mobile, which acquired Paktel for US$254 million, is believed to be unhappy with a recent drop in subscriptions despite the category’s increasing penetration.
