Cernet selects SinoTech for ad sales

BEIJING - Chinese online publisher Cernet Corporation has appointed digital marketing company SinoTech Media as the exclusive seller of advertising space on two of its government-sponsored education websites.

Cernet, backed by the Chinese State Department, has charged SinoTech with promoting and selling targeted advertising on EDU.cn, China’s largest official education website, and EOL.cn, an education portal with up to 20 million page views a day.

Chairman of SinoTech Group Mathew McDougall (pictured) said the agreement will allow his agency to develop its EdNet education network, saying, "This deal will help us continue developing EdNet and help our publishing partners more effectively monetise traffic and provide our advertisers to the right audience in the Chinese education industry."
