CEI sponsors marketing award

being sought for the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards 2006, which are being run by Haymarket Media, publisher of CEI Asia Pacific.

These are the only awards to cover the entire Asia-Pacific region. There are 18 categories. CEI Asia Pacific will be sponsoring the category of 'Most Effective Use of Event Marketing'. This will be awarded to the campaign that most effectively uses an event, or series of events, to provide a brand experience to the target audience. The category winner will be featured in a case study in CEI Asia Pacific. The competition is open to both clients and service providers — the majority of CEI Asia Pacific's readers. Entries must show the event was central to achieving results for the business. In 2005, this category was won by American Express for their free 'live sites' in Sydney and Melbourne during the Australian Open Tennis. Amex hosted 300,000 people at the sites during the event and the campaign generated 17 hours of global brand exposure valued at US$2.4 million. Judging will be based on strategy, creativity, execution and results. Entries cost US$115 and must be submitted before March 31. Awards will be presented on June 28 at the Grand Hyatt, Hong Kong.
