said Ken Mandel, chief executive officer at CCG.XM.
Hotel Intercontinental, appointed CCG.XM to launch a microsite to drive its promotional offers. Mandel added: "The hotel has limited information on the international site and wanted a greater presence on the web. But we didn't think a website was necessary. We told the client a more efficient alternative was to use a microsite to post information on events and promotions."
The agency has won the assignment to set up an extranet for healthcare group Bayer's staff, providing employees greater flexibility for regional communications and research.
CCG.XM has also been commissioned by designer label Chanel for a regional CRM strategy project. "The strategy work for Chanel is still ongoing.
Once we get the results for the regional CRM programme, it will lead onto a pilot series for CRM initiatives for Chanel,
said Mandel.
The wins coincided with the launch of an online referral programme for Shell in Asia, which allowed users to redeem points for consumer products through the Shell website. "The loyalty programme, through Shell Escape Club, meant users could redeem points and cash for goods such as PCs, irons and other consumer goods,
said Mandel.
He said the objective of the campaign was to drive traffic to the Shell website - hosted at Yahoo shopping - and to boost sales, while working closely with Shell Internet Works, the company's online division. "The campaign used email to reach consumers and build a database. Users could also refer their friends. It was launched in November last year, but we found that the campaign needed fine tuning,
Mandel added.
