Cassels poised to take charge at Saatchis Japan

TOKYO - Sam Cassels, currently chief executive of Publicis Japan, is expected to replace Jack Mickle as head of Saatchi & Saatchi's Tokyo operation from April, as part of a global reshuffle within the agency.

Neither Cassels nor Mickle were available for comment on the change. The shift comes after Publicis decided to integrate its Japanese operation with sister shop Beacon Communications late last year.

Saatchi and Saatchi’s current Tokyo operation in Shibuya was launched six years ago with Mickle at the helm, following the closure of the agency’s previous Japan venture, which was set up by Graham Thomas in 2000.

The agency currently supports a staff of 25 and has 10 clients.
