Cartier pitches Greater China digital

HONG KONG - At least three China-based agencies are believed to have pitched for Cartier's digital business for the Greater China region this week.

Sources close to the pitch say this will be the first time Cartier has enlisted a digital agency in the Greater China region. Its global digital work has previously been handled by Digitas out of Paris, but the brand looks to bolster its digital footprint in China by signing a local agency.

Up for pitch is Cartier’s digital business in 2009, which primarily entails the launch of a major campaign for its Love collection later in the year.

According to sources, the agencies vying for the account is Omnicom’s Agency.com, Publicis Groupe’s Digitas and Havas’s Euro RSCG 4D.

The pitch was held out of Cartier’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong. A price tag for the account has not been released.
