CAREERS: What it's like to work for ... Pixel Media

Who's the boss? Kevin Huang, chief executive officer of Pixel Media. But, ultimately, it's our advertisers and online media partners. As an interactive media sales organisation, our responsibilities are to deliver and grow stable, sustainable advertising revenues while delivering creative, accountable and effective online advertising campaign results to our advertisers. Juggling both isn't easy but we've managed some how.

How many staff? Five full-time and one part-time.

Marketing responsibilities? Marketing our interactive media solutions to advertisers, and ad and media agencies locally and from abroad who wish to use the internet to reach their target audience to complement their traditional media campaigns. The ad sales team at Pixel Media is responsible for working with advertisers and agencies to deliver solutions that meet the client's requirements. They include a range of interactive marketing solutions, ranging from online ad placements, sponsorships, search engine marketing, online promotions and contests.

Who's the competition? There is currently no competitor in Hong Kong that operates in the same business model as Pixel Media. Having said that, we do see other online media sellers as our main competitors and, to some degree, anyone out there that is selling media space, whether it is online or otherwise. After all, we are all eyeing a piece of the same marketing budget. How we prove ourselves is by delivering the most creative, accountable and effective solutions to our advertisers.

How do you get a job there? Check out Pixel Media's website for job vacancies. Or send them directly to Kevin Huang.

Are department or office transfers possible? Yes.

Any training offered? Yes, as much as needed for someone to be familarised with our company and dymanics of this industry.

Pay and perks? Competitive pay and perks.

Long hours? Only as long as it takes to get the job done. Pixel Media doesn't encourage its staff to work late or long hours. We believe in a good balance of work and time spent outside of the office with family and friends.

Business travel? Yes, when necessary.
