<p>How many marketing staff does ESPN have in Asia? </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>ESPN has seven marketing staff in Singapore, one each in Hong Kong and </p><p>China, three in Taiwan and nine in India. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>What are the responsibilities of ESPN's marketing staff? </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Manage the brands ESPN and Star Sports channels, which are </p><p>consumer-focused, and the corporate brand ESPN Star Sports, which is </p><p>more trade-focused. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Event management and promotion of the in-house programming like Tiger </p><p>World 5s, X Games and CGU. Promote tune-in to key programmes, such as US </p><p>Open tennis, NBA. Work with the company's cable platforms to drive </p><p>subscription to its channels. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>How does a candidate go about getting hired by ESPN? </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Watch out for ads in the Straits Times recruitment section or log onto </p><p>espnstar.com. As well as relevant experience, a love of sport is a big </p><p>plus. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Is there an opportunity to move between departments or offices? </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>There have been some transfers to other offices such as Hong Kong and </p><p>Beijing, and also to ESPN in New York.
