<p>How many people work for Discovery Networks in Singapore? </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Around 120 people. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>What are the responsibilities of Discovery Networks' marketing team? </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The marketing team supports consumer, affiliate and ad sales marketing </p><p>efforts for Discovery Networks Asia, supporting Discovery teams in </p><p>Taiwan, China, Japan and Australia. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>There is an on-going communications programme in key markets supported </p><p>by a network of PR agencies, with much of the focus on programme </p><p>publicity and key corporate initiatives. The team works closely with </p><p>affiliates to develop in-market consumer promotions and sponsorship </p><p>initiatives. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>How does a candidate go about getting hired by Discovery? </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Simply send a resume to Discovery's HR department in Singapore </p><p>indicating the department/position of interest. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Are there any opportunities to move between departments or around the </p><p>regional offices? </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Yes. On regional transfers, there is not only the opportunity for </p><p>intra-Asian transfers, but also global moves. An example is the </p><p>company's marketing manager for Greater China, Rosanne Lo, who is a </p><p>former member of the Singapore team, now based out of Hong Kong.
